Big boxes like Best Buy and Office Depot combine consistent nationwide low pricing, more discounts with exclusive online coupons and web-only specials, and quick pickup in bricks-and-mortar stores in Hawaii to make them ideal for saving money with minimal effort.

Here's how to do it in four easy steps:

Check out the online coupons on this page or on Dan's Hawaii Coupon Page. Look for the icon. Many of these coupons are Internet exclusives and cannot be found in the newspaper, mailings and other offline sources. You may enjoy substantial savings over just walking into the store and relying on the 'normal' specials. For instance, I saved an additional 10% off of my plasma TV, which was already on sale, by clicking through one of these coupons and ordering online. That was over $200 on a TV that was already discounted $400 in the Sunday paper. The coupons change pretty often, so check back frequently.
Click through the coupon you want to use and select your products. Even if there isn't a coupon you can use now, click through any coupon or the main store link to check for web-only specials that might save you money.
When you check out, select the pick up in-store option. Pay online with your credit card, gift card, or whatever other payment method you want to use. If you need to do anything like enter coupon codes at check out, I will give you clear instructions. If your item is large or heavy, many retailers will offer free local delivery by truck from the store's stock or warehouse (why not, would you rather hump that 50" plasma TV into the back of your cousin's truck?).
Go to store, pick up at designated customer service area, take home and enjoy. Or wait for the delivery truck to show up at your home, let the delivery guys do the basic setup, and enjoy. Either way, great savings, no shipping or delivery fees, almost immediate gratification, no checkout lines to wait in.

Returns: If you need to return or exchange something, just take it back to the store.
